Mirar Productions is run by me, Philipe. Below are a series of landmarks I've been fortunate to be a part of, but they don't really tell you who I am. You're probably like me and a paragraph can never fully do justice.
I love being a father of two gorgeous girls. I have and will continue to bend backwards to support my wife. I'm a history geek. I hit the basketball courts whenever I get a chance, and scour the net for football (and futebol) news. I don't like malls, so thank God for the internet. I'll take beer over wine any day, but I can sniff and swirl with the right company.
I love video and forming a secret passion for photography.
After graduating with honors in History and Film & Media studies from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2007, I began my career working for the financing and production entity, Sandbar Pictures. At Sandbar Pictures, I associate produced the documentary WHIZ KIDS and worked as a production coordinator on AND SOON THE DARKNESS, starring Amber Heard and Odette Yustman, a remake of the atmospheric British Thriller by the same name. It is during this time that I began Mirar Productions.
After leaving Hollywood, I spent a year at Google in their Maps division and was part of the team that unveiled a new dataset for the entire United States.
I relocated to Chicago in the summer of 2010 in a decision to further my academic career and I am nearly completing my masters degree at Wheaton College, hoping to one day combine my passion for history and media. This move coincided with the success of Mirar and a decision to expand the company to the Chicagoland area.
